Santa Fe Springs, CA - Bravo Sports Corp., one of the world leaders in outdoor rolling fun and action sports products, is proud to announce the release of their latest creation, the one-of-a-kind Pulse Slither drift scooter.The first innovative three-wheeled scooter of its kind, the Slither offers the ability to pull off tricks and maneuvers that are simply not possible on any other scooter or wheeled good thanks to the two large front wheels offset with a single rear wheel housed in a pivot-mounted swivel truck.

The Pulse Slither translates the fun of riding a snowboard, skiing or surfing into a street toy. It can be ridden facing forward or standing to one side and is propelled by “slithering” from side to side or by pushing with your foot, opening up even more trick possibilities and making it that much harder to put away. The rudder-like rear wheel with variable tension gives the rider the freedom to drift in and out of turns, zip around corners, execute lightning-quick 180º turns and adjusts to their skill level.

Emblazoned with vibrant in-molded graphics, that won’t chip or peel, the Pulse Slither is available in two dynamic color ways: Electric Blue “Skull Wing” and Toxic Green “Von Scroll.” Due to hit stores mid-October, the Slither, which retails for $59.99, will be sold at all the major retailers and select sporting goods locations.

The Pulse Slither is the long-awaited follow up to last year’s hit ride-on toy, the Pulse Kick N’ Go. Fifteen of Orange County’s style arbiters were honored Wednesday night at the 2009 OC Look event as Orange Coast magazine unveiled its list of individuals defining style in Orange County. The sold-out event benefitted the Dream Guild of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Orange County Chapter raising over $15,000 for the cause and was a head to toe celebration of style in Orange County.

The 2009 OC LOOK winners are:
1. Kim Vo - Celebrity hairstylist with salons in Beverly Hills, Las Vegas and The Montage Resort, often seen on E!, and a judge on Bravo’s reality show “Shear Genius”.
2. Zeke Kalil – Recording Artist.
3. Glenn & Mindy Stearns - Both were featured on the TBS reality show, "The Real Gilligan's Island" and Glenn is the owner of the Stearns Corporation, the group of companies responsible for over 80,000 transactions and $1.5 billion in real estate sales in 2003.
4. Barclay Butera – An world-class interior designer with signature showrooms in Los Angeles, Newport Beach, Park City, and New York.
5. Dr. Arvin Taneja – A plastic surgeon.
6. Amita Singh – The GM of the Christian Louboutin store in South Coast Plaza.
7. Jennifer Condas – Co-founder of the Dream Guild, which raises money for JDRF.
8. Elyse Roberts - Co-founder of the Dream Guild, which raises money for JDRF.
9. Nichole Carroll – The designer and owner of Tyler Rose Swimwear. Her line was just featured in Sports Illustrated.
10. Traci Arnsten – Co-owner of Voluspa Candles based in Lake Forest.
11. Rib Hillis - Actor; home designer; model – joined ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition in 2007.
12. Monika Steinberg – Co-owner of Movano Spa in Laguna Beach.
13. Scott Graham - Owner of XPACS Concierge Services.
14. Heidi Cortese – Philanthropist.
15. Casey Cochrane – CEO/Founder of the Green Guide Network.

An evening full of fashion, beauty and beats, attendees were treated to beauty bars, signature cocktails courtesy of Ste-Germain, activities, as well as the amazing culinary talents of Il Fornaio Catering all set to a hot soundtrack from DJ Andrew Nguyen. Models strutted in the latest designers gowns from Oday Sahkur while the men browsed in the Tommy Bahama boutique. Guests were styled up with MAC Cosmetics one-on-one consultations and had their up do’s upgraded by Perla Salon before stepping in the eMotion portrait studio for their close-up with photographer David Capron.

In addition to all the primping and posing being done on the second and third floors of the spacious Pelican Crest estate which housed the more than 600 guests in attendance, partygoers also escaped downstairs to the RockBand Lounge where they entertained their entourages and enjoyed the beautiful sunset over the Pacific Ocean poolside.

Other VIP guests included recording artist Annabella Lwin (Bow Wow Wow, I Want Some Candy), Lynne Curtin (“Real Housewives of Orange County”) and her husband Frank, and Elena Grinenko (ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars”).

Orange Coast Talk Style and OC LOOK on KOCE




When there was a last minute cancellation on KOCE's Real Orange, Maria Hall Brown gave us a call to see if Orange Coast would like to come talk about their upcoming event - OC LOOK.

Photo Shoot for the Orange County Register - Home Section

Two dogs, two beds, two floor pillows, one crib and one jumping child. That wraps up yesterday's photo shoot with Cindy McNatt from the Register in a nut shell.

She is going to be running a story about tips on essentials for your nursery and how to make sure it transitions to toddler-hood.

Celebrity Signed Spongebob Skateboards Hit Times Square

SpongeBob has officially taken over Times Square!
TRU Times Square is featuring the SpongeBob skateboards (made by Bravo Sports Corp) in honor of his 10th Anniversary. The skateboards were signed by Ashton Kutcher, Ben Affleck, Paris Hilton, and Eliza Dushcu among others at a celebrity party during Sundance Film Festival.
SpongeBob is featured across the MTV Studio Windows, in the MTV Store and on 44th Street/Broadway. SpongeBob product has been in the MTV store since late last week and the windows feature autographed surfboards and skateboards that will be auctioned off for charity later this summer.

Surfer Chicks Beauty Secrets in Coastal Living!



I love the newly revamped Coastal Living! The last few months the magazine has had some amazing homes featured, great fashion stories and yummy recipes that I have been pouring over. I am obviously not the only one who has noticed.

Last month we had a feature on Sally Bartz of Halsea in the magazine. She was inundated with Coastal Living readers buying her beach chic travel bags and stopping into the shop. We now call it the "Coastal Living Effect". See the article below -- it was AMAZING!


This month we helped with a beauty story about "Surfer Chicks Beauty Secrets" with Luann Petix, Oleema Miller and Veronica Kay. It love the layout and the 10 tips. You have to get the magazine to see the surfer chick spread and to see some of the homes featured this month - my favorite is the one title "Modern Country" (starts on Page 74.) Why can't we all live like that?!
