Successful at conducting both local and national print, radio and television campaigns, her clients have been featured on major TV talk shows such as “Oprah,”; TV magazine shows, such as “Entertainment Tonight” “Access Hollywood” and “Extra”; as well as countless other TV news shows and cable stations, such as The Early Show, The Today Show, VH1, E! Entertainment, The Discovery Channel and others. 

She has also had great success with news and feature distribution, media event planning, radio promotions, fashion shows, special events, celebrity pictorials and product placement in magazines, including “W”,  “O- The Oprah Magazine”,  “In Touch”, “InStyle”, “Domino”, “Lucky”,  “Teen”, and “Real Simple” among others.

Allison established Olmstead Public Relations in 1998 and since that time has represented clients such as HOM Real Estate Group, PulpFactory, Body Design, La Petite Maison Playhouses and Doghouses, Crazy Horse Steakhouse, Fender Guitars, and Frederick’s of Hollywood.  Prior to starting her own company, Allison played an integral role in creating and executing PR campaigns for such high profile companies as South Coast Plaza, Fashion Island, Chanel, Tourneau Watch Co., The Container Store, and Spectrum Foods Inc. among others.
           
Heavily involved with non-profit organizations, Allison has managed campaigns for the Queen of Hearts Foundation, of which she is also a board member, Alex’s Lemonade Stand benefiting pediatric cancer research – an event she is chairing this year in Newport Beach, Taller San Jose, and Pretend City, The Children’s Museum of Orange County.

In 2006, Allison partnered to form Townsend Olmstead Media Company.  In this new venture, she continues to focus on providing exceptional client service and creating and maintaining a national and local media presence for all of their clients.

Having been in the public relations business for over 10 years, Allison Olmstead’s background involves extensive public relations and community relations campaigns for a diverse collection of clients.

Lauren began her career in the press and publicity department at NBC Entertainment, where she climbed the ranks of the peacock network’s publicity team from intern to Senior Press Manager.

Throughout her time at the network Lauren developed and executed publicity campaigns for nearly every daypart including Late Night, Daytime, Primetime Series and Specials working on the network and cable side of the NBC Entertainment group. She launched such memorable shows as “Miss Match” starring Alicia Silverstone, the hit reality series “For Love or Money” seasons 2, 3, and 4 and CNBC’s “Dennis Miller.” She also managed publicity for several seasons of the critically acclaimed comedy “Scrubs” starring Zach Braff, as well as individual seasons of “Providence,” “Crossing Jordan,” and “Medical Investigation.” In addition to her series work, Lauren coordinated the publicity campaigns for several notable specials, including the internationally controversial “Princess Diana: The Secret Tapes,” “Faith Hill: When the Lights Go Down,” and “Justin Timberlake: Down Home in Memphis.” She also contributed to publicity efforts for “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Later” and events such as the Golden Globe Awards.

Before making the jump into primetime series, Lauren managed publicity for NBC’s Daytime Programming which included ongoing campaigns for daytime juggernaut “Days of our Lives” and the quirky breakout hit “Passions,” a campaign that was highlighted by a TV Guide cover and features in both USA Today and Entertainment Weekly. In addition to her work on the daytime lineup, she also managed campaigns for the 2001 Daytime Emmy Awards hosted by Kathy Lee Gifford, the launch of Hidden Passions, the companion book to the daytime series, and the debut of NBC’s Fan Fest fan weekend held at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida and NBC Daytime’s premiere partnership with the Country Music Association’s Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee.

Lauren enjoys finding ways to put her PR expertise to work helping her colleagues and serving her community. She served for three years on the board of the Entertainment Professional Publicists society and is currently serving on the board as Co-Chairman of BRAVO! Young Professionals for The Center, a support group of the Orange County Performing Arts center.

After leaving the world of network television in 2005, Lauren partnered to create Townsend Olmstead Media Company in 2006, providing communications and public relations services in Southern California. While she continues to work in entertainment, she has expanded her expertise into other creative fields with clients in the fashion, arts and automotive industries.
